Welcome.

Today is a special day for me and my family. October 21st marks the 6-year anniversary of my mother, Kandace’s death. Although this date brings about a gamut of emotions for me, (and those who were close to my mom,) it also brings something very exciting this year.

I have written and illustrated a children’s book in honor of my mom.

It has been a positive and therapeutic process for me to remember her in this way, and though they will never meet her, the book will allow “Grandma Kandie” to have a presence in my children’s lives. The book is full of easter eggs about her specifically, but my hope is that other families in a similar situation may also use this book as a tool to remember their loved ones. 

I will be using this site to post videos of my process, interviews, and even some inside scoop about the book. It will also eventually be the place where you can buy it!
